Hi
Welcome.
I have gone through your query.
It is difficult to comment on it without examination, kindly upload the pictures of the same for better assessment and to provide you with specific advice.
It will great if you provide few additional information.
1. Is it itchy.
2. Is there any alteration in bowel habit.
Presently, I would suggest you to wash the area with soap like dermadew and tap it dry and do not touch the area as it increases the chance of secondary infection.
Get back to us with additional information and with pictures I'll be glad to help you out.
Take care

No itching,no change in bowel movement, just VERY tender.I'll get soap you reccomend. I recently started working out A LOT,could it be a blocked sweat gland? I do shower immediately after workout but have really increased ny protein intake
Also have been doing a lot of squat exercises, drinking a lot of green tea and switched to summer's eve body wash

Brief Answer:
Might be folliculitis, apply antibiotic ointment
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for providing the information.
Based on the information I feel it might be folliculitis. This is minor subcutaneus inflammation and you should apply antibiotic ointment like neosporin for 2-3 days and nothing else.Keep area clean and dry.
If there will be progression, you should see doctor and start with antibiotics but at this point this is definitely not required.
This provisional advice provided by me is based entirely on the input provided to me. I would suggest examination by the doctor.
I hope this suggestion might be of some help to you.
Take care.
