What Causes Tender Feeling In Left Testicle With Normal Doppler Ultrasound?

Question: Hello. I had a tender feeling in my left testicle in November and the left testicle used to feel heavy. The pain was very less and tolerable, but I felt slight pain while walking. The Doppler Ultrasound report was normal. I went for another ultrasound to detect hernia. Every test result was normal. After a course of antibiotics for infection, I was okay for the past 1 month. But 1 week back, the symptom came back again. I feel slight pain at the nerves connecting my lower left abdomen and the left testicle. The pain is very less and tolerable and can be felt in my scrotum. But I am not able to understand what I am suffering from? Is it again an infection or something serious?
Brief Answer:
Possible residual filarial infection.Not serious.
Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir.
I understand your concern.
Since Doppler ultrasound is normal you need not worry much.
You seem to have residual infection of the testicles-this is referred to as Chronic epidydimoorchitis probably filarial in origin.
Along with the antibiotics you need antifilarial agents like tab Hetrazan 100 mg thrice a day for 21 days.
This will help to resolve all the residual infection. This is not serious.
Please note this drug has to be taken only under strict medical prescription.
Thank you.
