What Causes Tenderness On The Left Side Of The Groin Area?

Question: I have tenderness on my left side groin area. Feels like there might be a little swelling/lump there as well. Sensitive when I push on it.
Brief Answer:
Inguinal hernia can be the reason.
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Thank you for the query.
Your symptoms are most likely caused by an inguinal hernia. Especially if the pain gets more intense when standing and coughing, lifting heavy objects. The lump can get less visible while lying down.
I suggest you to consult general surgeon. In case of doubts, ultrasound should be done.
Hope this helps.
Regards.
