What Causes Terrible Breast Pain In Adults?

Question: I am a 57 year old female who has had a hysterectomy when was 30. I am having terrible breast pain recently and am trying to figure out what is cUsing it and how to make it quit.

Breast pain can be caused by several issues including inflammation, cysts, hormonal changes, breast cancer or rib nerve irritation.
If the pain is sharp, and more intense when breathing, rib nerve irritation is the most probable reason.
If the pain has nothing to do with breathing, and is located in the breast tissues, all other mentioned reasons should be ruled out. Please try to palpate your breast and see if there is no lump palpable.
I suggest you to consult your doctor and have breast ultrasound done at first. Without this test, its hard to guess what exactly is happening.
