Brief Answer:
this is not normal

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX,

The way you have explained your headache does not seem normal to me. This definitely requires a plain CT of the brain to rule out underlying space occupying lesion.

I would like to know more details about this.

- Do you have fever along with the headache? Is there vomiting, blurring of vision, dizziness along with this headache?

- Do you have any difficulty in doing routine activities?

- is this the first time you are experiencing this kind of pain or have you had it before as well?

- Do you feel ringing sensation in the ears, feeling of vomiting or nausea?

- What are the relieving and aggravating factors?

Please let me know in detail about this headache, so that I can help you better.

Hi Dr. XXXXXXX

Thank your for responding to my mail.

I used to have fever along with the headache as well, I don't get anything like vomiting and all but i do get dizziness sometimes.

Sometimes it becomes difficult to work in office n talk to people with that type of pain.

Its been more than 2 weeks that i had this headache, before i used to have headache but it wasn't this painful.

I feel nausea sometimes. i often put cold water on my head whenever my head becomes very hot inside.

Whenever i had headache, i have taken few medicines like Dolo650 , Crocin & Dispirin. It gets worse when i am exposed to sunlight & loud noises.

Brief Answer:
possibility of Migraine, but needs investigation

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX,

Thanks for writing back.

Going by your history, it seems like a possibility of Migraine. However, I would still suggest you to get a plain CT of the brain to rule out space occupying lesion.

I would suggest you to consult a neurologist for direct physical examination, and to confirm the cause of your headache. If migraine is confirmed, you can take prophylactic treatment together with treatment of acute attacks.

Hope this helps you. Let me know if you have more queries.

Regards,
