What Causes Throat Pain After Spraying Air Freshner?
Question: I sprayed a lot of air freshener in my living room an hour ago and my throat has hurt ever since! It feels itchy and sore to swallow! Its making me nervous because the air freshener bottle says " if inhaled could be harmful or fatal ". :( please help as soon as possible, if I should go to Emergency !!

Room freshners are quite safe and it's natural that a person will inhale the air after its application. It's the direct application over the face which is not advisable.
As you have developed sore throat and itching it's likely to be due to allergic reaction to the contents of the freshner. First and foremost let me reassure there is no cause for concern. Do not panic. Kindly follow the advise and you will get well
1. Prevent further exposure: Open the windows. Shift to another room
3. Antihistamines;: Antihistamines tablet like either Chlorpheniramine or Cetrizine will be helpful.
4. Warm saline gargling : To a glass of lukewarm water add two spoon of common table salt. Gargle throat with it thrice a day. It. Will reduce the sore throat
5. Steam inhalation : 15 to 20 minutes each session twice a day.
