Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!
Regarding your concern, I would explain that your symptoms could be related to orthostatic hypotension.
Other possible causes to consider would be a sinus infection, chronic anemia or a cervical spine chronic degenerations (spondylarthrosis).
That is why I would recommend consulting with your attending physician for a careful physical exam and some tests:
- a cervical spine X ray study
- complete blood count for anemia
- a sinus X ray study
- a Head Up Tilt test may be needed if suspicions of orthostatic hypotension are raised during physical exam (a drop in your systolic blood pressure more than 20 mm Hg or your diastolic blood pressure more than 10 mm Hg when standing up compared to sitting position).
You should discuss with your doctor on the above issues.
Hope you will find this answer helpful!
Kind regards,
Dr. Iliri
