Brief Answer:
Most likely from sunburn.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thank you for asking HCM.

I have gone through your query. Your problem can be most likely from sunburn. Do you had any sun exposure before getting this?

You can apply wet towel on the skin for soothing. Applying Aloe vera gel will be helpful. You can also take over the counter NSAIDs like ibuprofen in case pain or burning sensation.

If there is no improvement then corticosteroids like hydrocortisone cream application will be helpful.

A consultation with dermatologist is well appreciated if not improving.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Can be due to allergic reaction.

Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.

Thank you for your follow up query.

Then it can be due to allergic reaction of something you exposed. In such case taking over the counter antihistamines like benadryl will be helpful. Applying aloe vera gel or corticosteroid like hydrocortisone cream will be helpful also.

Do you have any other systemic symptoms like fever or generalized discomfort?
Any history of psoriasis?
Do you took any drugs recently?

If there is no improvement then a consultation with a dermatologist should be done.
Let me know if anything not clear.
I am happy to help you.
Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Allergic reaction will subside in 1 to 2 weeks.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome again.

Thank you for your follow up query.

If allergic reaction then it will subside within 1 to two weeks. Corticosteroid creams and antihistamine will speed up this also.

If using aloe vera you can continue till the symptoms subside. It has anti inflammatory as well as antimicrobial effect.

If using corticosteroid creams like hydrocortisone then it should be used for 1 week twice daily and next one week one time daily.

Take more fluids to hydrate your skin for fast recovery. Taking vitamin C and vitamin E will be helpful also.

Allergic reaction occurs due to contact with allergen. So finding out the agent and avoiding exposure is the preventive measure.

Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
