What Causes Tightness Of Throat And Migraine After Taking Excedrin?
Read below.
Detailed Answer:
I read your question carefully and I understand your concern.
Excedrin migraine is a combination of aspirin, acetaminophen and aspirin.
The concern which that throat raises is that of an allergic reaction. Both paracetamol and aspirin can (rarely) cause an allergic reaction with angioedema, a swelling which includes the airways causing throat tightness sensation. However normally there is swelling of other structures, noticeable swelling in the face, so if you notice no such thing it would be unlikely. If you do have swelling in the face on the other hand you should seek urgent medical help in the ER.
The other possibility if only throat tightness would be simply that of anxiety. It can happen in predisposed patients as an effect of the caffeine contained which can cause nervousness. In this case there is not much to worry, simply relax, it will be temporary.
I hope to have been of help.
