What Causes Tinitus?

Question: I woke up 2 weeks ago with ringing in both my ears. Don't have a cold. Had some wax in my right ear and the doctor took it out. It didn't stop the ringing. I haven't had a good nights sleep in 2 weeks, i'm getting very worried.

Brief Answer: get audiological test and treat. Detailed Answer: Hi sir, your having tinnitus or ringing sensation in ear. There aremany reason for having tinnitus. Commonest is wax , next is middle ear infection, or eustachian catarrh. Other commonest is inner ear disease. Both conditions, can be detected by audiologjcal test. So I advise you to get audiological testing like pure tone audiometry and tympanometry. This will help us to detect where the problem is. Depending on the diagnosis treatment will be given. So consult an ENT specialist with your report he will be able to guide you better and also treat you. Don't worry , it is a treatable condition.
