What Causes Unexplained Weight Loss, Headache And Fatigue?
more information is required
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
it's normal to gain or loose some weight now and then. It may depend a lot on you physical activities. If you've lost more than 10% of your weight is a short period of time then investigation would be required. Unfortunately you haven't provided any detail about your history so I assume you're healthy and don't take any drugs.
In such a case, if the loss is significant, I usually advise my patients to do the following:
- thyroid test (TSH should suffice to detect most disorders)
- a complete blood count as a basic check for blood disorders
- albumin, total protein and globulins to check for various disorders
- body temperature for at least 3 consecutive days (morning and evening)
- C-reactive protein and erythrocyte sedimentation rate to check for inflammatory disorders
- clinical examination which may provide important clues
If any of the above is abnormal then further testing will be required. Otherwise you should just make sure you're eating properly and get a rest whenever you need it.
I hope you find my comments helpful!
Kind Regards!
