Why The C Reactive Protein Is High?

Name Ramnikalal, age 76 years, got pneumonia around 7th august, remained in hospital for 12 days, with penumonia, serum creantine increased, wbc decreased ,12 days of hospitalisation, this things turned normal. But C reactive protein which had gone up to 19o decreased to 97 only. Normal value, 10.With weak intestines, digestion was a problem earlier also. After discharge from hospital, 12 days all ok but after that there was a day of vomitting and it became difficult to take food /liquid intake. Again hospitalised. c Reactive protein was up 181 and after 3 days of treatment,it is 87.During first hospitalisation, fungal infection was noticed and relevant antibiotics were given. Syscan 150 x3 =450 mg was given for 10 days after discharge. Doctors unable to find as to why C reactive protein is not geting down and why it is not possible to have food intake. All reports coming normal. Suggest remedies please. Thanks

Hi,

From the distance no doctor can diagnose you. Your case seems to be very complex. However, just as some supporting help, not as a replacement for the medical therapy you get locally: Try to eat well cocked rice with lots of natural yoghurt and some slices of peeled cucumbers with a little bit of salt on them for five days.

Cooked zucchini without spices (curcuma and cooked garlic are okay) go also well with the rice and the yoghurt. Avoid fruits, more than an apple or two a day is too much. Drink plenty of black tea without sugar or milk. If you don’t like your tea without sugar, use an artificial sweetener like Splenda, but no extra sugar.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Alexander Davis, General & Family Physician
