What Causes Unusual Patterns In Vision, Hand Tremor And Speech Disorder?

Hands shake badly, not all the time but I have difficulty doing simple simple tasks such as buttoning shirts, . writing has not been possible for about 3 weeks and speech also zffected. These suymptons onset were concurremt with a severe flare up of an old back injury 3 weeks ago. Speech has now returned , simple tasks wit hands have not. Some shaking has been apparent for several years but speech and other issues are new, onset at time of back flare up. Seeing phantoms objects shapes patterns and people. as well as halluncinations at night, are new onset about 1 week.
medications include revlimid for myeloma, carbodopa levodopa for shaking for Parkinson ( parkinsons is now thought not to be the cause) , ambien for sleep. I am not diabetic. Health generally good
I would appreciate any input you may have on these issues.

Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
I have very carefully considered your case. You need a careful neurological and psychiatric evaluation. There are two broad possibilities to consider. The first relates to your eyes. Although your vision might be fine, you might have problems on your retina that are leading to patterns in your vision. The myeloma could have a direct role in the situation. The next probability relates to the interpretation by the brain. A careful consideration would reveal whether it is a delusion (confusing a wire or rope to be a snake, connecting unrelated dots to see a pattern etc.) or a hallucination (seeing things having no physical basis). Based on that the neurological and psychiatric evaluation would throw further light and suitable treatment can be administered.
