What Causes Urge To Sneeze Followed By Nausea In Hot Weather?

Question: ive been on a low carb (diet) lifestyle change for 3 months, under my doctors supervision. I have lost a good 50 pounds. However, the strangest thing keeps happening. I feel the sensation to sneeze and become quite nauseated until I do sneeze. this usually occurs when Im busy and get hot. I also seat quite a bit when this is going on. if I can sneeze and cool off it goes away as fast as it came, but if I don't sneeze it can last all different amounts of time (10 min to hours) What can cause this?? I will address this with my pcp but its the holidays and he is gone for a week.

After going through the query I am of the opinion that you could be having vasomotor rhinitis. The symptoms almost suits into this condition.

My suggestions to you are:
1. Consult a good ENT specialist for a thorough evaluation of the nose and the paranasal sinuses. You may require a diagnostic nasal endoscopy for identifying the pathology.
2. Try using saline nasal spray as and when required.
3. Steroid nasal spray such as fluticasone or momentasone for treating the congestion and allergic component if any.
4. Drink plenty of warm water.
5. Do steam inhalation a couple of times in a day.
