What Causes Vaginal Spotting During 6th Week Of Pregnancy?
Question: I got an ultrasound yesterday and it was showing a small sack.My HCG level is 381.66mIU/ml.My doctor told I should have HCG hormone levels at least 1000 during 6weeks of pregnancy. Before I entered doctors cabin from the afternoon I had cramps and saw a bit of bleeding but nothing was on the sanitary pad. After I came to house there was a slight spotting of blood. From yesterday I am having abdominal cramps which is like I usually have during my periods but no bleeding. Is there anything to worry. Today also I had slight bleeding with brown bloody discharge but nothing on sanitary pad
Is it a miscarriage.in ultrasound everything was normal

Brief Answer:
threatened abortion
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query to HCM,
Any bleeding during pregnancy is known as threatened miscarriage and should be investigated further with transvaginal ultrasound pelvis to rule out any retroplacental clot or subchorionic haemorrhage. You should be on progesterone support and bed rest and repeat beta hcg serially after 48 hrs. If there is 63 % rise in two values then teh pregnancy is viable or it could be a failed pregancy.

This doesn't really implies so that you should be loosing your child. I have just appraised you as to what is it called and of course this can be just an implantation bleed but still you need to be careful and vigilant and should be resting. progesterones can be started prophylactically.
