What Causes Vomiting And Burping During 7 Weeks Of Pregnancy?
caused by pregnancy
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome,
It seems that you are having nausea and vomiting of pregnancy. It is very common. Most women have it during early morning called morning sickness, some may have it throughout the day and some may have it at night.
Women with twins or a condition called molar pregnancy are more likely to have these. This can be ruled out using an ultrasound if needed. The symptoms are due to the hormone HCG and progesterone that increase during pregnancy.
Other causes are gastritis and liver disorders.
Eating a soft diet low in fat and spices as well as decreasing the water intake when the symptoms are more prominent and taking more water when there is no nausea helps to control symptoms in most cases. If they are still uncontrolled drugs like doxinate [ combination of doxylamine succinate, pyridoxine and folic acid, or plain doxylamine] can be used 1 1/2- 2 hours before the symptoms arise [ maximum every 8 hours] to help decrease the symptoms.
If it is still uncontrolled then an evaluation by a doctor for cause, intravenous fluids and antacids like gelusil will help. An ultrasound may be done to rule out twins or mole [ rare cases].
Please do not worry, common cause is pregnancy and the symptoms are relieved in most cases by 12 weeks. So take doxinate and see if the symptoms decrease. If they do then there is no need to worry.
Hope this satisfies your query.
