What Causes Vomiting, Severe Diarrhea, Bouts Of Dry Heaving And Fever?
Question: my husbAND STARTING VOMITING 3AM ON SUNDAY MORNING. he then also began to have daihrrea and this continued throughout the day until about 1 am monday morning. he had very strong bouts of heaving, even when his stomach was empty he kept on heaving. Monday morning, he said he felt better however, then he begN TO GET FEVERISH TEMPS, he was very weak and coudl not eat. thsi marked about 36 hrs since he hd last eaten. we treid tea, gingerale, water but everythign he ate woudl come out
(by mouth or butt). its now over 48 hrs later since this started and he is still feverish ( i gave him some ibuprofen in the middle of the night) as of now. he is sleeping on his back (he never can sleep on his back!). he has not been able to take his HBP meds (25 mg Losartan) , his apsirin, nor the amixcicllin( he had a tooiht pulled last week thursday) for 3 days now. I am extremely concerned.....................plz advise

my husband also has a stomach hernia, which caused his belly button to extend outward and is very large. it does not hurt him usually and we have consutled a doctor who stated if it does not bother him, he can leave it alone.

Your husband is having Infection of the Gut ( Gastroenteritis ) and most likely dehydration also. He requires antibiotics , Anti emetics ( anti vomiting medications ), Intra venous fluids to avoid dehydration .
I recommend you take him to hospital or ER where he can be given these medications as Intravenous Injections otherwise any medication given as oral tablets he shall not be able to tolerate.
Kindly take him to hospital now.
