default
Posted on Tue, 20 Dec 2016
Question: I have begun to wheeze, feel like I'm not getting enough air thru my nose, having started breathing thru my mouth more and more. Have everyday fatigue and mild dull headaches. My husband says I snore. I am 53 years old, 5'9" tall, weight 250#, in good condition. Never have had a history of high pressure or heart disease. Family history of Diabetes, I do not have it, yet. I am a farm wife where I get plenty of exercise and fresh air and good fresh veggies and meat. I do take Estratest and Prozac, both I have been on for about 25 years.

Brief Answer:
pl get settings of YOUR cPAP MACHINE CHECKED.

Detailed Answer:

Hello XXXXXXX

Thanks for posting your query on HCM.

From your description, it appears that you are suffering from Obstructive Sleep Apnoea. If you are still breathless despite using Cpap machine, it is possible that your machine`s settings need to be adjusted. Consult your pulmonologist and your technician for the same. Loosing some weight may also help and a heart check up is required.

Do you have any allergy/asthma issues. Get a spirometry done to rule out asthma as cause of breathlessness.

Take care.
