What Causes Whole Body Numbness In A Teenager?
Question: I have a friend who's daughter was put in the hospital due to the following:
My youngest daughter, Michele, who is 19 years old, had her entire body go numb in about 20 minutes while she was out shopping. So bad, she could not talk, feel her face, hardly walk and very difficult to breath.
We got her to the emergency room where they ran MRI, CT, blood, etc and told us that they wanted to keep her for a few days. They have since sent her home and the parents are watching her.
What could be happening?

Brief Answer:
Probably seizures, please provide more information.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.
I have read your question and understand your concerns.
Most probable condition that may cause those symptoms is an epileptic seizure.
Another possibility is temporary extreme lowering of blood pressure.
If you could upload the tests results you mentioned and drugs used in ER or later, I can understand better the issue.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
