What Causes Yellow Vaginal Discharge After Taking Norethisterone?
Question: hello, I was having a period which lasted 2weeks, gp gave me norethisterone to stop the bleeding so they can investigate it. (I also have pco) I was given the tablets Thursday and now today I am having a clear/yellowish discharge which has a very strange smell, bit like faeces. what could this be? I am also still having stomach cramps no bleeding now. im tired all the time, no energy.

This vaginal discharge is basically thickened vaginal fluid which is normally present in vagina which is a common side effect of progesterone and will be gone soon.
But if this persists for next menstrual cycle also then you will have to visit your gynecologist for examination to see for any infection which is common after prolonged bleeding.
Stomach ache and tiredness is because of deranged menstrual cycle which will subside once they regularise.

Thank you for your quick reply. I will be having an internal this Thursday coming. As I've had problems with menstrual cycle for a while now. Was abit embarrassed to go if i smelt. Sounds Silly i know. But thank you i will keep this in mind x
