What Causes Yellow Vaginal Discharge?
Question: I have a butter-yellow vaginal discharge, no burning or itching and have had for the past month or six weeks. I am past 80 years old. What could possibly cause this?
Brief Answer:
Needs treatment
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking
I read your question and i understand your concern. Butter yellow vaginal discharge without itching or burning can still be considered for genital tract infections. Fungal infections like yeast are most likely the cause here. I would suggest getting this discharge analysed, treated empirically with antifungals and topical hygiene care and if need be, screened for baseline work up. I am sure slight supportive care and topical preventive care will help in prompt recovery and resolution of discharge.
I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
