Posted on Mon, 4 Jul 2016
Question: I know a 32 year old man who goes very up and down and gets very angry and breaks things and yells. He will go days without sleep and without eating at times. We do know he has had numerous concussions when he was younger. We don't know if he is bipolar or if it could be something from the concussions. Then other times he can be very nice. But he just flips to angry so fast. he is never aggressive towards another person short of yelling but will start to break things

I can understand your concerns.

Sudden outbursts of anger, decreased sleep and full of energy, can be the symptoms of bipolar disorder.

He has also sustained multiple concussions when young. This can also cause change in personality of a person, making him more angry and impulsive.
A brain scan help to determine the impact of trauma on brain and it's present state.

The treatment at present will consist of drug like olanzapine and Clonazepam (prescription drugs).

Kindly contact a nearest doctor for valid prescription.
