What Do Bumps On Clitoris Indicate?

default
Posted on Mon, 15 Dec 2014
Question: I have two small bumps that seem to have pus or fluid in them that are on the left side of my clitoris. I have been active with a new partner but this is the first time I'm experiencing any symptoms. The last time was quite rough, and I could feel I was a little dry. A few days after I noticed what seemed to be a tear in the vaginal opening, I pretty much let that heal on its own, and took warm baths. There is no more pain in that area so I believe it has healed, however two days after the pain subsided, my clitoris seemed unusually sensitive and today I noticed the two soars. I haven't been able to see a Gyn. Physician. Can this develop from too much friction? I've also been experiencing trouble urinating. There is no burning sensation like with a UTI, it just takes a whole to get a flow going.

Brief Answer:
Can be due to friction.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The likely cause for the bumps that you have is folliculitis: hair follicles are present on the perineum and on the sides of clitoris.
When hair follicles get crushed because of clothes or rough intercourse they can become infected.
This will usually present as painful inflammatory swelling which will discharge pus and blood.
You need to keep the area clean and apply an antiseptic ointment like neosporin on the area. This is likely to subside in next few days. In case the lesions persist or are painful then direct examination and prescription antibiotics may be needed.

Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.

Thank you so much. I appreciate your time and attention. I feel a lot better already from taking extra time to clean the area with warm water but I will try the neosporin as well. I had a problem last week with my hemorrhoid. It's never bothered me before but I began to feel shooting pain/sensation especially when it's cold outside. Again the sex was really rough and the hemorrhoid may have shifted. Is there any XXXXXXX the counter cream I could use to either shrink it or soothe it.

Brief Answer:
Use preparation H.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
Application of local anesthetic gels and vaso constrictors like Preparation H are useful. You can also sit in hot sitz bath by sitting in a shallow bucket with hot water three times a day. The heat would help in relieving the discomfort and pain of the hemorrhoids.
Hope my answer is helpful.
