The events occur at night mostly,I awake due to need for bathroom use and it seems to occur when I have a couple hours sleep and since I usually wake two to four times a night for passing of urine, it would normally occur almost every night the past few months. I do not feel this if I sleep well meaning my wake up was once and occurred late in my sleep.I use a cpap machine due to sleep apnea.I use it every night about 5-6 hours. My pulmonolgist last week had no answer for me. In the past and I mean 30 years I have had sharp instance of a shock feeling once in a great while like once a month. Those seemed to have stopped since this nightly incidents started.
Answers to questions-I awake with need for urination after 2-3 hours sleep and I feel this constant feeling in my brain/head that a electric switch is being flipped. This can happen a couple times a night in the early in early sleep after 4-5 hours sleep it usually does not occur. The action I mention continues till I fall a sleep again. So that is probably 10 minutes in bathroom and awake time These usually occur only at night, although the last two days I have had the feeling in the daytime and only in seconds. I have not fainted. Generally my sleep the past several years has been lousy due to frequent urination. I had this before and after prostate cancer which was eliminated by seed implantment 10+ years ago. I have sleep apnea and use a cpap machine every night. My pulmonologist was visited recently and had no suggestions. It really concerns me.

Brief Answer:
Uninterrupted sleep
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
What if you reduce the use of CPAP? Would it interfere your sleep? Do you need the use of CPAP? Blood gases levels during sleep were they analyzed?
I believe you have to get an EEG done first. You better get it analyzed by a Neurologist or Sleep Medicine physician.
Also I suggest you to take measures for uninterrupted sleep.
Not drinking water after 6pm and visiting bathroom before hitting bed and may be medicines to reduce urination at night.
