What Do Flu Symptoms Indicate After Discontinuing Coumadin For Pulmonary Embolism?
Question: Yes, I have flu like symptoms but I do not have a fever. In September 2016 I was diagnosed with pulmonary embolism of the rt. lungs. I was put on blood thinners (Coumadin) but now I am not on anything. I have a stuffy noise, slight stiffness of muscle on left side, no fever and mild shortness of breathe. When I lay down it is hard to breathe and mild head ache. BP 148/99 Pulse: 55 OXy: 97 heart rate 58.
I had a gastric by-pass in May 2016 to stop from having aspiration pneumonia. Since the surgery, I was also diagnosed with no stomach. My esophagus is attached directly to my intestines and part of it is attached to my abdominal cavity.
I have low blood sugar. Today it dropped to 60, but I was able to bring it back up with peanut butter and a little OJ.

Brief Answer:
nothing than painkillers
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking in HCM
I have gone carefully through your history.
The good news is that pulmonary embolism is already excluded .
The fact that chest CT is normal exclude pneumonia and pleural diseases that may be tha cause pf the pain .
So fortunately the lungs are clear.
Yes this is a viral situation
According to your history of comorbidities you should be careful. You can take painkillers twice per day, liquids (if you can ),have a rest and if the fever starts and lasts for more than three days than antibiotics should be considered.
I hope to have been helpful for you
Regards and feel free to ask me again
