What Do Irregular Heart Beats, Nasal Congestion And Dizziness Indicate?

Question: Thank you for your response. I live in a very small town in XXXXXXX I am a registered nurse, age 77. I am retired. I have a diagnosed sinus infection with persistent allergies of nasal congestion for the first time with duration of this summer, almost. I have been prescribed Minocycline 100 mg. bid po. I have been having intermittent slight dizziness--currently this morning. I take several other medications--Metformin, ASA, Levothyroxin 50 Mgm, qd and over the counter vitamins. My blood pressure is 124/75 and blood sugar is 124 (not unusual, I think). I am experiencing irregular heart beat hesitations varying from every 5 to 25 beats. I have had breakfast, but feel like I might be hungry (?) I have NOT TAKEN THE MINOCYLINE THIS MORNING. I have some history of stated PVCs or stated altered Apical irregularities. Interaction with medications?

Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!
Regarding your concern, I would explain that there is no interaction between minocycline and your actual therapy.
So there is nothing to worry about!
I recommend you to closely monitor your blood pressure and have some rest.
Low blood pressure could be the cause of dizziness.
In such case a lot of fluids and avoiding straining physical activity would help.
Hope you will find this answer helpful!
Kind regards,
Dr. Iliri
