What Do Low Testosterone Levels Indicate?
Question: Hi,
I am a 29 years old male and I have moderate level of man boobs since my teen years. I never paid any attention to them over all these years. Recently I decided to get my Total Testosterone level checked and it came 224 ng/dL, below the normal range.
I don't think I have ever had a low sex drive and have never felt any sexual performance issues while having sex or masturbating. I am not sure what this low level means and what is the cause for it.
Do I need to worry? Is this too low a level or it is not such a big deal? Should I seek medication or this can be fixed if I start exercising and gyming regularly? I am really worried right now.
And is this low Testa level related to man boobs I have???

Hello Thanks for your query,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that
you have noticed your boobs to be slightly larger than expected and your serum Testosterone levels is 224ng/ml.
As regards your doubt bout your testosterone levels to be low I would like to state that Testosterone levels varies from day to day but even has variation in morning to evening and from lab to lab .(Reference range)It has no relation with development of breast .
The secondary sexual characters like beard ,breast and hair growth pattern is controlled by a Growth Hormone secreted by pituitary gland .
Since you have no issues with sexual desire ,erection etc you need not worry about single reading of low level of testosterone .
Consult qualified Endocrinologist for clinical assessment and hormonal study to establish diagnosis .
