Brief Answer:
Absent left common iliac vein may be a congenital anomoly.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for writing to HCM,
I've gone through your query and understand your concern,

Absent left common iliac vein may be a congenital anomoly.
There may be alternate pathway for drainage of venous blood. It may drain from right side but there is usually dilatation of vein in such cases which is overloaded.
You may need MRI venography for proper assessment.

Get well soon.

Hope I have answered your query.
Further queries are most welcome.
