What Do My X-ray Test Results Indicate?
Question: I just got a report from my insurance company that the x rays I had taken for hip back and knee pain showed spinal deterioration. What does this mean and how serious is it?
Have you answered my question? I have been waiting and am quite anxious about this.

Brief Answer:
Spine degerative disease.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.
I have read your question and understand your concerns.
Spinal deterioration in x-rays may be referred to as bone degerative changes (spindyloarthrosis) with narrowing of intervertebral discs spaces and neural foramina, or slipped vertebrae (spondylolysthesis).
Those conditions evaluated by x-rays are not life threatening, but can cause problems such sciatica and/or walking problems, in rare cases neurological deficits too.
Hope you found the answer helpful. You can upload the X-Ray films for to assess further.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
