What Do My Lab Test Reports Indicate?
Question: My doctor is requesting some blood test to be done. They are as follows:
24 hr Urine VMA
Catecholmine
GHIAA
I have had some discomfort in my stomach since February. I've had both a C'Scan done in Floirda and an Ultra Sound done recently.

Brief Answer:
doesn't appear to be serious
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query.
I have gone through the reports. There is fatty liver with a small adenoma ( benign) tumor in the adrenal gland. There is nothing to suggest anything serious in the scans.
The tests you have mentioned are done to detect pheochromocytoma, another type of tumor which causes high blood pressure, palpitations, etc. If these are not there then probably the tests will be normal.
If all normal then surgery may not be required.
Hope this helps. I will be available for follow up.
