What Do My Mammogram And Ultrasound Test Results Indicate?
Question: Hi, I just got my mammogram and ultrasound results and it says there is a small cluster of pleomorphic micro calcification situated in the left upper outer quadrant of the left breast, better seen on magnification. The calcification also varies in size, shape and density and the area wasn't able to be appreciated as a separate structure on ultrasound. Can you tell me please what does that mean. thanks
By the way, the cluster of microcalcifications were detected on mammogram while the ultrasound report mentions that the focus of microcalcifications seen on mammography was unable to be appreciated on ultrasound.
