Posted on Tue, 10 Feb 2015
Question: Hello Sir. What are red protruding (non itchy, non painful) spots on the skin (of the arms) indicative of? Should I go to a medical laboratory and have one extracted to check for some kind of cancer (as a worst case scenario)?

Brief Answer:
see a dermatologist.

Detailed Answer:
hi dear sir,
with the history you have given I can say that it doesn't seem to be cancerous.
It will help me if you can send a photograph of it. there can be few differential diagnosis for this. better idea is to get a consultation with a dermatologist. if it is a hemangioma, it will be treated surgically. so exact diagnosis of disease is important.
