What Do The Following Blood Test Results Indicate?

Question: Hello,
I got blood test results and I have a concern about some of them..all of these number fall into the labs normal range, but I've read online that some of the numbers could be suggestive of leukemia, so I freaked out..I am a 29 year old male...other than fatty liver and slightly elevated cholestrol I have no health issues
My platelets were 179...which seems really low
White blood cell count was 6
Red blood cell 5.6
Hemoglobin 17.2
Albumin serum 5.2
Total globulin 2.1
A/G Ratio 2.5
Could I have leukemia?

Brief Answer:
no this is not leukemia
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query. I understand your concerns.
Leukemia is characterized by high or low white cells, low hemoglobin and low platelets. You have none of these. Platelet count of 179 is normal, it is not low.
There is no hint of leukemia in these reports.
Hope this helps. I will be available for follow up.

Would leukemia require my white or red blood cell count be abnormal?
I read that some places do not accept blood donors with platelets lower than 180, is it due to leukemia concerns?
My hematocrit is 49.8....is my high a/g ratio concerning?
Also..with leukemia, would multiple tests be abnormal, or could low platelets be enough? What platelet level would concern you?
How certain are you that these numbers do not suggest leukemia?
Thank you so much for your time

Brief Answer:
reasonably sure this is not leukemia
Detailed Answer:
Platelet count below 100 would be concerning and above 150 is totally normal. Blood donors need higher platelets so that it doesn't go lower after donation.
Ag ratio is fine as it is the albumin which is high. Low albumin is concerning not high. And ag ratio has no relation to leukemia.
Usually in leukemia multiple blood counts are abnormal.
