Question: Dr. Gusher XXXXXXX Biswas- I wanted to let you know that we finally got into the University of Califonia @ San Francisco, to the ID specialist thanks to your advice!!! All his labs returned to normal & his exam was normal & he is looking very good now so at the moment they advised no further treatment. He will have his lung scan repeated They gave him a lab slip if symptoms return, but we are going forward so life is finally returning to normal. Again, thank you for all your advice!!! XXXX

Brief Answer:
MRSA

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.

It is nice to know that he is finally back to normalcy after treatment by ID specialist for MRSA.

However in elderly population , one has to remain careful about infection, particularly pneumonia or lung infection. It is better, if he takes Pneumococcal and Influenza Vaccine as prophylaxis on consultation with ID specialist .
