These show increased level of CA -125, which can be increased in epithelial ovarian cancers and in other conditions like endometriosis, tuberculosis etc.
So, CA-125 is not confirmatory for ovarian cancer alone.
Other factors like symptoms of the patient, nature and vascularity of ovarian cyst on ultrasound and MRI findings make a correct diagnosis.
