Brief Answer:
Surgical decompression is the best option.

Detailed Answer:
Hi I am Dr Gopal Goel Orthopedic Surgeon.
I have gone through ll reports . In my opinion she has severe spinal canal stenosis at L4-5 , L5-S1 reducing the canal size to 40% less than normal. In this case , My advise is always to get Surgical decompression of stenotic segments.
However you can try pain killers ,muscle relaxants , pregabalin , and Lumbo Sacral Corset. If it is helpful then continue for few days, however in the long run , it is better to go for surgery. Her age is not much only 56 , not an old lady.
Thanx for the question. Please feel free to ask any other question.

Brief Answer:
Chances of surgery are generally good.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I understand your apprehension with regard to risk. Any surgery can have adverse effects / complications also, but you have to weigh cost benefit ratio. Also as of today spinal decompression is a relatively safe surgery.
As far as the hospital /Surgeon is concerned , Good no of hospitals are in XXXXXXX which provide the services. I would not like to tell more in this regard .
Thanx for the question.
