What Do The Presence Of Lesions In A Mammogram Report Suggest?

Question: 6mm with indistinct margins on mammogram means what
Brief Answer:
lesion that should be followed
Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.
You didnt post the whole finding, but if this is some focal lesion in breast sized 6 mm with indistinct margins then it may be anything. in most cases this is fibroadenoma or cyst but tumors also cant be ruled out without biopsy and ultrasound so this should be done next. Of course, tumors would have some other features so you dont need to be concerned at this point.
Wish you good health. Regards

this is the findings
Brief Answer:
nonspecific lesion
Detailed Answer:
Yes I see. Thanks.
Well, this is common finding and it is nonspecific.
Lesion is new but very small at this point.
Radiologist didnt describe typical sign of malignancy at this mamography and there is only some focal dense lesion with irregular margins. As he said, ultrasound, or even better, MRI scan should be done. But considering just mamography finding, this is not suggestive of anything serious.
