What Do These MRI Findings Indicate?
Question: Hi I had a recent MRI internal auditory meatus both for sensors hearing loss and BPPV. It came back as a normal investigation.
When you report on these investigations do you look at / consider the whole brain or just the ear bit. .
I would like to know to see if they would have picked up any other abnormalities if present . I suppose I'm asking must the radiologist look at the whole scan when they are reporting on just part of it .
Many thanks

Dear Mr XXXXXXX
Thank you for your reply and that makes things clearer. When you are scrolling down through the images you must see other parts of the brain.. If there was an obvious abnormality such as a space occupying lesion in another part of the brain or evidence of MS or something would that be highlighted?
