What Do These MRI Findings Indicate?
Question: Had MRI IMPRESSION:
Multiple supratentorial foci of parenchymal hyperintensity may represent gliosis of microangiopathic origin. Compared to MRI in 2013 a more conspicuous finding is present in left parietal white matter. Lesion is nonenhancing on postcontrast images. Findings could represent gliosis of microangiopathy origin with interval progression. Additional differential in the setting of facial numbness could include demyelinating process.
Please explain. Can't see doctor til the 15th of XXXXXXX

Hi XXXX,
Thanks for being on healthcaremagic.com.
I am Dr.Ajay Panwar,a neurologist,here to answer your query.
I would surely like to be of help in this regard. With the above description,it appears that parenchymal hyperintensities could be due to demyelinating disease or vasculitis.Adequate description has not been mentioned of the probably new left parietal finding.Genuinely speaking,I need to see the MRI to offer a good impression on this one. Please upload the MRI CD on google drive and share the google drive link with me in the follow-up query.
I shall be looking forward to your response.
