Brief Answer:
Diet is good / Drug also needed

Detailed Answer:
Hi friend
Welcome to Health Care Magic

You need Life style modification AND medicine.
LDL is very high / LDL is bad cholesterol – lower, the better.
In the absence of any other risk factor 100 is ideal for LDL-C. In the presence of ischemic heart disease, 70 should be the aim.

Keep your weight to normal / even a little less
Quit smoking, if you are a smoker
Do regular EXERCISE – say walking or jogging - 30 minutes a day / at least 5 days in a week. Isometric exercise (like bull worker) is bad.
Healthy FOOD is a must. Avoid saturated fats – coconut oil, palm oil, butter, ghee, full cream milk...Avoid junk foods in particular – French fries have palm oil / Pizza has cheese / XXXXXXX sweets are made in ghee...
It is good to change to Poly-un-saturated oil (rice XXXXXXX oil) / and include Mono-un-saturated oil (Olive oil). Your plan to use such a combination of vegetable oil, as also soya, is good indeed.

Cholesterol level is quite high –You need drugs in addition to diet and exercise / because it is also manufactured in the liver – and that is determined by heredity. A Statin - like Atorvastatin - is the first choice. You may need high dose – up to 80 mg of Atorvastatin…. Start with 40 mg / Repeat the test in 6 to 8 weeks / step up the dose / often, a second rug may also be necessary, in some .

The doctor treating you will give appropriate prescription and follow you up.

Good luck
God bless you

Thanks for the reply, please answer few follow up questions:
1)How one can control diet if out of station, please provide some best veg./fruits that can help in this case to avoid outside food or what all vegetarian food good if outstations for 2-3 weeks as cooking might not be the option.
2)I am planning to go for 100% olive oil mode rather than using 70% rice XXXXXXX + 30% olive for cooking at home, will that help to control cholesterol levels
3)I am slightly overweight and have started reducing it by walking and taking balanced diet. What all things can i do reduce it fast as i am 84kg with 5'7'' height.
4)I do not want to go via drug mode as there might be complications and one has to take it life long, therefore can i use natural methods FLAX SEEDS night time [grind-ed 1 tbl spoon mixed in water] and aloe XXXXXXX juice in the morning 2-3 spoons is it ok?
5)I am vegetarian, non alcoholic and non smoker and as per reports last year my cholesterol levels are same as last year but i didn't took it seriously and thought that it will get settled therefore very serious this time and avoided all junk/outside food. Please advice some biscuits that i can take during office hours to avoid patties/samosas.

Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Drugs are must / Diet & xercise in addition

Detailed Answer:
Hi

1) You should consult a qualified dietician… That too, it is not feasible to state all the nuances in a single visit. One generally needs SEVERAL sessions, to master concepts of calories, nutritional values, biological value, vitamins, minerals and so on. If out of station, restrict to fruits, simple boiled foods like idli…

2) Olive oil alone is good too….

3) Weight is like bank account / The amount in your account comes down when you withdraw more (physical work) and you deposit less (eat less).
Exercise helps But you need to do really severe and prolonged exercise – several hours. Start half an hour a day and slowly step up every week. Its role is however is limited. For example, in walking 1 kilometre, one spends 1 Calorie per kilogram of his body weight! A cup of rice or an average bar of chocolate has approximately 200 calories. A treadmill may help. The ideal solution is to get yourself enrolled in a Gym and have a supervised program.

4) Flax seed helps / aloe vera does not help in cholesterol
Your LDL cholesterol is very high – it can NOT be controlled with life style modification alone
The choice is yours – drugs are a must in such situations.
Cholesterol is a silent killer – no symptoms until a complication comes…

5)This is serious /needs follow up /
Take an apple or orange…. Biscuits contain fat…
