What Do These Following MRI Findings Indicate?
Question: dear sir/ madam I am suffering from back pain from last 3 yrs . L4-L5 disc protrusion . I can't sit or stand for long time she to extreme back and radiating left leg scatia pain. I consult .many doctors and physiotherapist. advised. back exersies. like extension . I am doing them ..but can't get good results.so I want to confirm with u ..that may I join gym to make my lower back.legs and hips strong.

Dear mam.I am going to join gym for exercises because I am doing exercises directed by doctors and physiotherapist at home level result from 1 yr and can't get good result . kindly .tell me back muscles which I focus .

I have gone through the attached reports,
I will try to explain you in the best way possible:
A group of muscles acts together for maintaining the integrity of the spine and its proper balance and strength. They are functionally named as extensors, flexors and oblique muscles.
Extensors include the back muscles like erector spinae muscle and gluteal muscles which help to hold up the spine,
Flexors include abdominal muscles which enables forward bending and lifting up objects,
Obliques include external and internal oblique muscles, which help in rotating the spine and maintaining posture.
Of these, gluteal muscles which are located over the buttocks, they become active climbing up and down the stairs, or even while squatting, but the rest of the muscles remain inactive unless they are focused and specifically exercised.
I would suggest it better for you to discuss this with your physical trainer and do exercises which specifically focuses on the above said muscles.
