Brief Answer:
He needs to remove his Enlarged Prostate by (TURP)

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that your father who is 67 years old has obstructive voiding symptoms due to Enlarged prostate which is common after the age of 60 years.

He needs to undergo surgery for resection of Enlarged Prostate to make his urinary passage free from obstruction by an endoscopic surgery of Trans Urethral Resection of Prostate (TURP).

This is simple and gold standard surgery practiced all over the world for enlarged prostate and offers permanent cure and to improve quality of life .Surgery is under spinal anesthesia and patient is usually discharged from the hospital within 3-4 days .

Go ahead and consult qualified Urologist and get the surgery done at earliest .

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions , I shall be happy to help you .
Thanks and Regards.

Brief Answer:
It does not require Prostate Biopsy

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for follow up .

PSA of your father is 4.648(Normal range being 1-4) There is always marginal increase in PSA level due to enlarged prostate .Hence there is no need to do prostate biopsy.

Thanks and Regards.
