Brief Answer:
Life style changes / Follow up

Detailed Answer:
Hi friend
Welcome to Health Care Magic

Mr XXXXXXX
There are subdivisions of cholesterol – LDL, HDL and so on. HDL is good cholesterol – higher, the better. LDL is bad cholesterol – lower, the better. In the absence of any other risk factor 100 is ideal for LDL-C. In the presence of other diseases (especially Diabetes and/or established heart disease), 70 should be the aim. Your value is quite high and is unlikely to be controlled by life style changes alone. You need to take drug also

LIFESTYLE CHANGES
Keep your weight to normal / even a little less
Quit smoking, if you are a smoker
Do regular EXERCISE – say walking or jogging - 30 minutes a day / at least 5 days in a week. Isometric exercise (like bull worker) is bad.
Healthy FOOD is a must. Avoid saturated fats – coconut oil, palm oil, butter, ghee, full cream milk...Avoid junk foods in particular – French fries have palm oil / Pizza has cheese / XXXXXXX sweets are made in ghee.../ Change to Poly-un-saturated oil – like sun flower oil. / Include Mono-un-saturated oil – Olive oil.
DRUG
The most common drug is a statin – Atorvastatin is the most commonly used statin / generally we start at 20 mg daily and repeat the test in 2 months. The dose may be stepped up (maximum 80 mg) or a second drug like Ezetimibe is added
Your doctor will give appropriate prescription ….

MRS XXXXXXX
There is a minor variation in Liver function test (ALP / Globulin). could be a normal variation or minor unrelated illness. Generally, values three or more times the upper limit are investigated immediately and aggressively. Others are just observation and nothing else. No cause for concern. Nothing need be done except to repeat it after a fortnight, for reassurance

She also has slightly elevated LDL. For this, life style changes (as above) are sufficient. She too need to repeat the lipid profile after 2 months….

Good luck
God bless you
