What Do These Lab Reports For Tumor Indicate?
Question: Hi Doctor,
Please find the attached report. Can you answer the following couple of questions?
1. Does this look like malignant brain tumor?
2. What should be the next plan of action

Intra craneal mass

Patient has periventricular intra craneal mass and maximum percentage of such masses are malignant. I hope csf examination has been done and if not done should be done to rule out infective process which is a possiblity though chances are few. If csf is inconclusive the only option is to have biopsy from the lesion which would confirm the diagnosis rest are all indirect evidences. chances of cns lymphoma are bright which is comparatively treatable compared to parenchymal tumor like astrocytoma of verious forms. in the begining I would suggest CSF studies.
