Brief Answer:
Need to check for cervical spondylosis and tumor

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for your query.
I'm Dr. Shuba Hariprasad and will be answering your query today.
Would you clarify a few things for me, please?

*do you have any headache or vision disturbances?
*any vomiting? Weight loss?
*any history of injury to the neck or head?
*do you have any other medical issues or take any medications?
*do your symptoms occur more in any specific position of the head, like when you look up? Or when you sit up from lying down position?

Based on your symptoms I would like to rule out cervical spondylosis and tumor.

The symptoms are most likely due to dysfunction or compression to the vestibular cochlear system in the brain. The cause needs to be evaluated...

I'd recommend :
-a physician consultation, ENT and neurologist opinion
-an MRI of the brain and neck
-Electrocardiogram and echocardiogram
-blood tests (complete blood count, Thyroid stimulating hormone, kidney and liver function tests, lipid profile, blood sugar levels, clotting profile)
-an angiogram of the cerebral circulation if necessary...
Based on this we can find out what is going on.

Please see a doctor as soon as possible.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is anything I can help you with.

Wishing you good health
Regards,
Dr. Shuba Hariprasad

Thank you for your response. I am waiting for my appointment with my primary. I had an episode yesterday that was disturbing which is why I made my inquiry here- I took my dog from the car and put him on the ground and experienced a serious bout of dizziness and at that time yes my vision was very impaired - like I was seeing through a prisim - it lasted about 10 minutes. Other than that, no vomiting, weight loss I do not take any medications and I have no history of injury to my head or neck.
