What Do Vision Problems And Enlarged Pupil After An Epidural Anesthesia Indicate?
Question: My daughter had an epidural anesthesia 6 days ago for labor or greater than 30 hours. Now her left pupil is 2 times larger than her right pupil. At times vision is not as good. No slurred speech or weakness in her extremities. Is this a normal finding?

You can be born with this condition, or it can develop over time. In some cases, there is no cause for the difference in size.
In addition, some people with anisocoria experience a difference in pupil size only temporarily and then the size returns to normal without treatment.
In some other people though, it may be a symptom of a serious cause, and that cause needs to be ruled out.
I would recommend to have it checked out since this is something new and the difference is pupils is not to be ignored.
