Brief Answer:
Not too much cause for concern, but if a sooner apt is possible, why not?

Detailed Answer:
Hello sir and welcome.

Thank you for writing us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. Your PSA levels are above the mark for which it has to be tested using a biopsy to rule out/confirm cancer, but at the same time they are not too high.

I did notice in another query you posted that your levels did rise from 3.7 last year to this level this year, which does make inflammation more likely as levels would rise quicker with cancer, but at the same time cancer cannot yet be ruled out (without a biopsy).

I would like to ask what the reason for the delay stated (3 months) in the query is for? It is not really too long, and I do not think there can be any seriously significant changes in the 3 months time, but on the other hand if there were a way to get tested at the earliest (i.e. if you were my patient), I would make it happen, provided the patient co-operates with me i.e.

So I am assuming the current doctor can only do the biopsy 3 months from now? That sir in my country would be considered a case of serious medical negligence, which is why I have always frowned upon the medical system in the US of A. If you can make calls, and if it does not really pinch your pocket, then yes sir, please do go ahead with getting a sooner appointment.

I hope you find my response both helpful and informative. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I am always here to help.

Best wishes.
