What Does A Biopsy Result Of Mouth Showing Keratosis Indicate?
Question: I had done biopsy of my mouth. It came out as keratosis with mild dysplasia. One doc suggested for surgery and another doc suggested that surgery is not necessary and gave some antioxidants and told not use any kind of tobacco products. I was chewing tobacco for last 10 years and have already left before 6 monts. Please advise

This is not cancer but precancerous. Hence both are options. It can be removed to reduce risk of future cancer, but as you have used tobacco a lot, cancer can arise from some other part of the mouth also.
It can also be followed up with periodic checkup with the small risk of future cancer in that site.

sir what other precautions shall be taken. occasionally I take alcohol. for how may months followup shall be taken.
