Thank you. Im guessing oral antibiotic will need a perscription....?
Brief Answer:
Amoxicillin is usually available as over the counter antbiotic
Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir
If the lesion would have not been on face, oral antibiotics would not have been needed. Folliculitis of face needs to be treated with oral antibiotic too apart from topical antibiotic. You can take Amoxicillin antibiotic which is usually available as over the counter antibiotic or you can enquire with your local pharmacist about over the counter antibiotic.

Doctor... Can it be related to any sti?
Brief Answer:
Its unrelated to STI
Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir
I assume you are referring to sexually transmitted infection. Folliculitis is not related to STI. Following are predisposing factors
1. Shaving and colonization of hair follicles with bacteria
2. Nasal carrier of bacteria
3. Trauma during shaving
Using new blade each time while shaving, avoiding cuts and thoroughly washing the face with face wash after shaving will help prevent recurrence.
