Lactate dehydrogenase is an enzyme present in many tissues. Elevated lactate dehydrogenase can be seen in few common and few rare conditions. We see elevated LDH levels in patients with hemolytic anemia, lymphomas and leukemias, vitamin B12 deficiency, infections like Infectious mononucleosis, hepatitis, muscle disorders and so on. It is basically a marker of tissue necrosis.
I would like to know more details about your health and then I can hint you the possible direction in which we need to go. Can you please send me your problem and illness in detail, when it started, how it started, have you noticed any unusual swelling, any changes in urine or eyes, any other symptoms. Also If you can upload a CBC blood report and any other important report that you have recently been tested for.
